Snowman Pendant 2009

Well, I've made it a tradition to make a piece of snowman jewelry every year around Christmas, and here we are: The design for year 5.

Normally I make my snowmen brooches or pins. However I decided to go with a pendant this year, I think it will sell faster as a pendant, not to mention I'm open to the option of matching earrings if I want to make them, which I might do.

Crafted from solid sterling silver sheet and wire, as well as copper sheet and wire. This piece has three finishes: First, the snow body and hat have a bead blasted satin finish; the twig arms, carrot nose, and the rim of the hat have a high polished finish; the hat band and scarf have a brushed finish. The button and eyes are, as always, faceted black onyx.
